EMLinQ - Certified LUXEON-T Assembler

Simi Valley- EMLinQ LLC has been certified by Philips Lumileds Company LLC as an official assembler of its LUXEON-T LED. The LUXEON-T LED is “a bright, versatile and high efficacy emitter” that requires very specific application practices to ensure its success in an assembly. EMLinQ has been able to demonstrate to Lumileds Technical Solution Manager, Chris Turnbull, that we can place this LED with a remarkable first pass yield rate of 99.6%.

After weeks of research, including studying different SMT nozzles, solder pastes, and reflow profiles; EMLinQ was able to demonstrate their abilities in a series of production tests. EMLinQ had lower solder voiding than typically accepted by the LUXEON-T parameters, which is often where other contract manufacturers run into problems. With over 2.5 million various LED placements taking place at EMLinQ each month, we look forward to adding the LUXEON-T to our repertoire.
